MEDIA PRODUCTION?!

My name is Hannes — [’hannəs]. I develop ideas, produce film and video and I work with creative teams to find out where AI helps in the production process. I test the tools in real productions to find the best way between classic production and AI for each individual project.

Launching a new product? Launch it! Literally!

‘Doesn't this ignition coil look like a rocket?’ The product-launch idea was there almost the moment I saw it.

The client wanted a social-media teaser for a new product: an ignition coil. The first time I saw it, I noticed the holes in its metal casing. That looks like a rocket engine, I thought.

So I prepared a presentation that took a rather generous detour via the historic Apollo 11 mission, just to build the necessary tension. I wanted to fire this thing into the sky like a rocket. My only worry was whether the client would let me turn the product into a huge exploding object. The team at Nissens loved the idea of literally ‘launching’ the ignition coil.

Nano Banana was new at the time and made it fairly easy to turn the perspective from a tiny ignition coil into a large rocket. Most of the video was made with Veo 3, then the latest video model. Sora 2 had also just arrived in November 2025 — the first model that could create multi-cut clips from one prompt. Perfect for a run of detailed B-roll shots.

The GMKI podcast

On the GMKI podcast, we talk in german about what that change is doing to us…

We look at current tools and big questions. Can AI become a counterpart? What remains of us digitally after we die? Is the idea of a technological singularity already shaping decisions today?

It's an open conversation about technology, society and being human in the age of AI.
